I need to move several chicks on and don't want to drive all the way to Culpeper for the auction. They are healthy and happy - I just don't have room for them. I will happily meet someone within an hour or so. I know it's likely the cockerels won't be kept around, but I'd hate to see the pullets end up meat. They all have friendly dispositions and run up to the side of the brooder when I bring treats.
I would also be happy to give them to someone else going to auction. (See? Need them gone!) Unfortunately I can't keep them around long enough to wait for the Maryland Chicken Swap.
Hatchery pullets (4 weeks) - 2 RIR, 1 BO
Locally bred (6 weeks) - 3 BO cockerels, 3 BO pullets
Note: One of the RIR's had a couple of off days last week and ended up passing some hard pine shaving pieces. She seems to be just fine now!
Please let me know if you have any questions or have a suggestion.
