Bird 2 - sibling to bird 1 - This one looks at least like an EE rather than just a mutt.

I know trying to sex Easter Eggers is sort like trying to tell folks at the pound what the dog might be and how big it might get, but I am looking for some help

This one is 6 weeks old. I know that may be a little young, but looking for some insight.

I have never had EE before and thought what the heck try a couple an so got this from the local farm supply 6 weeks ago. Supposed to be sexed pullets. They used McMurrary Hatchery.

Any help or insight sure would be appreciated.

Sorry, I need to see more of it to be sure. I am leaning toward roo from this photo though. But that Is a really tough one. Hoping I'm wrong and it is a pullet. My EE roo started pinking up in the comb around this age, maybe a hair earlier than 6 weeks. The reason I think maybe roo is because of what some of the neck feathers look like - they don't look completely rounded. Which is why I need to see more of the chick. Lovely coloring though!!!

Yeah, I think I am going to have to say Roo. It is tough for sure, but I would wait for either an egg or a crow to be 100% sure. Just prepare yourself that it could very well be a roo, and if it isn't - it will be a happy day!!

Thanks to everyone for giving me their thoughts. This one is definately a challenge. Can someone explain what they are looking for on the neck feathers that is telling so I can better understand this aspect of sexxing.
