Now my pretty little fellow is carrying one foot. There does not appear to be anything broken and he puts his head under the foot and scratches his head with the carried foot.

How long would it take a sprain to heal? He is quite happy otherwise and trying to crow which is hysterical to see.

Seems the 8 that are together pile up at night and he came out from under the pile carrying the foot. He is not sensitive about the leg being handled so appears to be in no pain.

He has such a sweet disposition, we separeted him from the flock for 24 hours but he was so unhappy.

I'd check to make sure there is no swelling. It's possible he injured it jumping down off of something. Sometimes there is nerve damage, are the toes curled?

I am pleased to report my sweet little ro is putting his foot down some, it must have been a sprain of some kind as we cannot locate any sort on injury or break in bone or feather's.

Still waiting on him to master the cock-a-doodle-do which should be a riot. what fun to watch.

so far the 7 pullets are getting along fantastically, maybe that is how the one little ro got injured?

Anyhow, we have 5 little silkies in the brooder that will join the big girls later this summer.

Thank goodness for BYC to help us learn what to do before we really mess something up.

Thanks Guys!!!
