Hello -
I found one of my chicks laying down a lot today, only getting up to get food/water. She is able to walk, but it's not smooth and she sits down whenever she can. She'd usually take a few steps, then plop down again. One leg seems to be aligned as it should be, but the other seems to twist out towards the side. I've noticed she has a broken toe, but it's been like that since she was teeny tiny, so I feel like that's probably not the cause of this. I'm thinking splayed leg, but I didn't think that could happen with chick this old. I felt both tendons and both are perfectly aligned. It looks like her right leg is healthy and the leg one is the one with a problem. Please see pictures below. I'm not sure if it's curled toes or splayed leg that's causing the issue.
