hello all! I am raising my first batch of chicks and now that their feathers are coming in I’m trying to ID breeds. I got a rainbow layer mix and I think I have 6 or 7 different breeds, but I’m not positive. Also i’m pretty sure they’re all pullets but i don’t know how to tell. Please help!
^ she and the barred rock are tied for friendliest temperament.
^ we have 3 of these with the greyer head and white/cream coloring. Hers is more barred/stripey than the others but I’m reasonably sure they’re all the same breed.
^ We have 2 who look like this, and they’ve been two of the larger ones for several weeks now.
I couldn’t get a great picture of her, but she has all black feathers with gold veins(?? Whatever the stick part is called). She’s super soft, and has the same type of fluffier neck of the one I suspect is an americauna.
^ froM the photos I’ve seen I’m guessing she’s an americauna but I’m not sure.
^ I have no idea about her! She started out dark and has gotten browner feathers as she’s grown.
^we have 4 who look like this, and I’m making a guess that they might be welsummers or leghorns based on other threads I’ve looked at.
^ we have another (couldn’t get a decent picture) that looks like her only a grey base color rather than cream. Dunno what either could be.
Thanks in advance for taking a look at my birds and helping me figure out what they are!
