Hello everyone!!

Long story short, I purchased these cuties from a local breeder. Thinking this breeder was legit, I ordered specific breeds being this is my third year having chickens. I ordered 12 and received 18! Which is great and everything, but now o have no idea what she gave me. Nor do I think I have half the breeds I ordered. So after numerous attempts to contact her with emails, calls, and texts with pictures (with no response), I thought I'd try my luck here with people who I feel are more reliable then the farm in got them from. I was told they were "between 1-2 weeks" when I picked them up. I have had them for 5 weeks. So at least I know that. But they size difference is crazy between the different breeds!! I ordered all girls...but some of them seem iffy. Please help! Im going to post as many pics as its will let me! I am wondering the breeds or the first two (im posting 2 pics of each) And sex of all of them if anyone has any idea. The last 3 pics are just trying to guess the sex. They are all AT least 5 weeks old.

What breeds did you order?

I am wondering the breeds or the first two (im posting 2 pics of each) And sex of all of them if anyone has any idea. The last 3 pics are just trying to guess the sex. They are all AT least 5 weeks old.

The first photo looks to me like a female Blue Sexlink (sometimes called a Sapphire Gem or a Blue Plymouth Rock or various other names. Not actually a Plymouth Rock, not matter what name it's sold under.) Blue Sexlinks have males with white barring, and females without white barring.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick!! I ordered a blue cost in (which I thought was the big one in the first pic, but now realizing it might be the little one in the second pic), lavender orpingtons, BIRD's (that GLW was ordered as a BLRW!), buff orpingtons, salmon faverells, and a cuckoo maran.

So you think the black and white barred one is a male? (The last pic).

You might have an auto-correct messing with some of your breed names.

A blue what?

Blue Laced Red Wyandottes usually produce some chicks with black lacing, some with blue lacing, and some with splash lacing. The blue gene just works that way. (Splash lacing looks pale gray, almost white.) So getting one with black lacing is not surprising. It does look more gold than red, so someone has been a little sloppy selecting their parent stock, but it could easily have come from Blue Laced Red parents. Probably just slightly poor quality (as regards color), not actually seling you the wrong bird.
