First time chicken owner. I have 3 chicks, all 6 weeks old. Three days ago I gave them scrambled eggs and the next day one of the Red Sex Link pullets started acting different. Standing to sleep, lethargic, eating little. Today she tries to drink but acts like she can't. She'll put her beak in the water, move it around and seems very frustrated. I held her and a small bowl with water and she would open her mouth in the water and even try to bite the water. She's stopped growing in the past 3 days. Please help, this is heartbreaking

can you put water in the food and then it will get water that way? make the crumble like a mash, I would try some electrolytes/vitamins on that one. I know tractor supply have some chick supplements good luck

edit...just thought about how mama teaches them and I guess if it stands by the water and you just press it's head down it's suppose to get the picture. Sounds like it doesn't understand that you need to lift the head up to get the water down. maybe a nipple waterer would work for that one..idk just a thought

Sounds like her crop hasn't processed the treat. Did you give them grit with the eggs? THey need that to process food other than their feed.

Well I think we can eliminate the eggs. I have been giving all my babies mashed up boiled eggs from day 1 - 5, and then at random times until they are about 8 weeks. So I really don't think it is the egg. Hmmmm...whats your coop temp? Are they inside/outside? Weather? Anybody else starting to look or act weird? Do you notice anyone picking on her? I ask because I had one with the same symptoms one time and I finally nailed it down to getting picked on. I put the things in there for them to do; such as baby grit more often, and the picking lessened and now that baby is a 7 month hen and they don't mess with her.
