Our German Sheppard jumped over the fence surrounding our chicken coop. We had just put twelve six week old chicks in their completely enclosed coop. The dog dug a hole under the coop, just large enough for the chicks to get out. Ten of twelve chicks got out. I recovered two, aht there is no sign of the other eight. Is there any hope that these chicks are still alive. They have been gone for five days. There is a large drainage ditch behind our house that contains grown up weeds and trees.
