I ordered Dominique cockerels this time but two look like female to me (From Ideal Poultry). I have had one male cockerel before but he seemed lighter than these. Has anyone ever had dark cockerels or are these pullets? In photos, No. 1 & 2 have the same color but No. 3 is a little lighter.

#3 looks like a cockerel... Not sure on the other two. Speaking of, #1 looks like a barred rock, not a Dominique. #1 has a single comb, which a Dom should have a rose comb. I can't tell what #2 has.

They look like pullets to me right now. Num 3 does look the most male but that's alot of dark wash on some thick toes so i'm still not 100%
Agree with @Frazzemrat1 the one is does seem to have a single comb so you've got two doms and "technically" a BR.:)

He may be a barred rock but Dominiques can get single combs if two recessive genes are passed on

I know that's where the "technically" comes in.;)

It probably is a Dominique, just hatchery quality so may not always have proper comb or type/not bred to standard. That’s normal.
