I have a 6 week old female bottle fed lamb who was doing fine and now suddenly is straining to poop. She drank her bottle normally in the morning and then was put out into our barnyard for the first time yesterday. When I walked her back during the evening ishe refused to eat her bottle and keeps squatting and straining. She was able to poop a little bit but she is still squatting and straining.

It sounds like she is constipated. In these cases I have used glycerine infant suppositories to good effect. As it is, you can give her an enema. Try injecting a few ccs of warm soapy water up her rectum. If there is a grocery or a pharmacy near you that is open, run up there now and get some suppositories.
