That's great news! And thank you!I don't see anything screaming cockerel on any of them at this point, so my bet is still that they're both pullets.
They're very nice looking birds!

Alrighty, sounds good Thank you for the continued feedback!I'm still not sure on the silkie. They do take time to sex and it really sometimes can be until adulthood that you can distinguish them. Continue posting updated pics and we'll try to help you as best we can!
My thoughts exactly! It's sure throwing me for a loop lol. I've read that if a male is bearded, it can result in delaying wattle growth but surely at 14 weeks you'd think something would be showingMan! This silkie is confusing! As far as comb and wattles go, it would be a girl, but when you look at stance and tail feathers I lean towards a boy. I guess you just may have to wait for a crow or an egg on this one!
Same here! That's why for a brief time I was sure the silkie had to be a cockerel...yet he/she only showed a hint of doing it a couple times and hasn't done it since.I personally have never seen the drop wing dance behavior in a female bird. So if this one is exhibiting this kind of behavior I’d have to go with cockerel. Your Polish does indeed look female.
Beautiful pullets!!Hey everyone!! I'm back for an update! It's been a while...
So the verdict for Daisy the silkie is that she is a hen! Yay She has been laying small perfect eggs for a couple weeks now.
Now for my polish... I'm confident she is a hen as well since she has no comb showing and only has tiny red wattles but she has yet to lay any eggs so far. They both are nearly 8 months now.
I will update again with a pic of my polish when I know for certain
Update: thought I'd just add a pic of Peridot now. She definitely looks like a hen... right?
Thank you!! They have the cutest personalities tooBeautiful pullets!!
