Not an emergency - just wanting to see if anyone has had experience with this - but I have a 6 week old silkie who has had a curled foot since she was born. I attempted to correct it right after hatch, thinking it was just her toes that were curled. I tried this for a couple weeks but nothing seemed to work. I realized it’s her “ankle” (metatarsal?) that’s curled, which is causing the toes to look bent. Her left foot is the one I’m most concerned about (even though she has a bent toe on the right foot too). Her left seems to bend between her second toe and first toe, so that she’s waking on her first toe which has made the skin all weird. I’ve felt and massaged her “ankle” quite a lot and it doesn’t seem to bother her but she does pick up that foot quite often.
does anyone have an adult chicken that’s lived with something like this? Do you think there’s anything else I can do to help her or just let it be since she doesn’t seem to be in pain?
ive searched around and can’t seem to find a post like what she has.
Example of the location on a normal foot
