6 week Whiting True Blue, gender?

Interesting. I haven’t heard of the dark markings associated with sex in WTBs. I had heard/read that their color can be very variable, but eggs are always blue. From reading on here, it seems like much red in a comb early on is concerning for cockerel.

It's just a trait associated with cockerels a whole!

I have the opportunity to give these up and buy pullets chicks. Is the consensus that these two are cockerels? Should I just give them up or wait a bit?

I think your browner one is a hen. It's really up to you. Why not buy the 2 pullets so you will have 3 pullets, then sell your roo/s later on.

So we already have 2 buff Orpington pullets. We want a total of 4 hens eventually. Maybe I’ll trade out the grey one for a pullet and watch the brown one. Thank you for your help!
