6 Weeks lavendel araucana

This bird looks male to me. Lavender birds often have shredded feathers (gene associated with the lavender color) which can make it difficult to properly identify the saddle feathers. Also a tad early for these. I am going with cockerel.

I'm questioning my previous thoughts of cockerel. At 11 weeks that face should be very red. Do you happen to have any more roosters? An older or more dominant rooster can delay the development of other cockerels.... If not, I'm switching to female.

This is my only lavendel araucana, so unfortunately there is no comparison and I ask for advice here as a beginner hobby chicken breeder

But there are several roosters among my birds, maybe too many and have to give some of them away (sadly araucana too if its a rooster)

That's what I mean, A dominant rooster will make a young cockerel develop slower. I think so he doesn't get flogged or in the case of if they were in the wild, so he can stay with the resources longer. So, He could still be a he....

Update. Photos of my 14 weeks old chick. Stiil no idea. He/she started doing this caa-caaa sound when walking around just like mu dominant hens. Haven't head my cocherels doing that nois

Boy, that is a tough one! I'm not seeing any male specific feathering, but it just looks like a late developing cockerel to me, so I'm going to guess it is a boy.

Based upon the feathers I circled below, I'm going with cockerel. I'm pretty sure I'm seeing his male specific feathers coming in here...

Yes, his a cocherel, he just started to crow.
