60 weeks and now a blue egg????

I only have one EE (she's nine months old) and she usually lays green eggs. In the past month I have had two blue eggs from her. They are beautiful when they happen!

In another thread there was a discussion about base shell color. Apparently a green egg is a blue shell with a brown overlay and a brown egg is a white shell with a brown overlay. The discussion said that if you peel the inner lining off of a shell, you will see the actual shell color (either white or blue). Maybe she just didn't do the overlay when she passed the egg???

Just conjecture on my part, but I'll bet the blue eggs are a nice surprise.

Yes, I have looked at the inside of her eggs and they are blue!

Thanks for all your input. I'll have to check the inside of those green egg shells next chance I get. It strikes me as strange though that the shape is so different. Different color, different size and different shape. No more blue eggs so far but maybe I'll get one today!
It may be possible that the brown paint booth was out of paint.....I hope not!
EEs are so tricky!
I thought it might be my BO Aggie laying the light brown speckled eggs. I heard about the 'lipstick method' of seeing who's laying what.

I haven't tried it because I don't wear lipstick. It may shed light though on who's dropping the ginormous poop bombs on the walkway. The poops are the size of golfballs.
I'll keep you all up to date on the blue egg progress. I anticipate more cat scans in the future.
