I am no expert here....so this might not be the problem.

you said she is a year old and has not laid an egg. none at all?

did you get her as a chick or did you get her as an adult?

i got her at point of lay, she has never laid an egg, nor has her comb grown or wattles. she was just like the other two when we got her. but just never seemed to develop or act like a normal chicken.

Well, when I hear of being a year old and not laying, and having low energy, I think internal layer. But when I had a hen who was an internal layer, she'd take spells where she didn't even feel like eating, and she'd lose weight (although she didn't LOOK like she'd lost weight, because she was fluffy - but you could feel it when you picked her up). Then she'd feel better again,although still low energy, and pick up weight again. She did that for a few months until she finally died.
But you're saying your girl eats like a champ, so I'm at a loss. I know Mareks can cause paralysis...so if her legs don't work right, that's a possibility perhaps. Here's some info.on Mareks. try a worming med and see what that gives

She might be egg bound....but I would think that would have showed up sooner.

you can do a search and see if she has all the symptoms.

What else do you notice about her?

when she does attempt to stand up she puts her beak into the groud to balance herself. today she hasn't eaten as normally as she would, normally she sees food and starts trying to eat it but today she just didnt seem as interested but still ate the oats i gave her. her legs aren't normal as she spends most off her time lying down no matter how much i try to encourage her to stand up. she always has her wings spread out to also try to keep blance aswell as her beak on the ground
