6mo old.. I still don’t know if it’s a pullet or roo.

Heres a little update! I think she's getting closer. She's started hunching under my hand when I pet her back. This is new, as in the last 2 days new. I read on the internet somewhere that pullets do this so it makes it easier for a rooster to mount them, and they will do it for people when they are getting ready to lay. Makes sense to me... and shes doing it!

That makes perfect sense! Phoenix and all my other chickens did that when they were ready to lay!! This is so exciting, I can't wait to see her first egg!

Guess what I found when I went out to lock them up tonight!!!!!
Little light brown egg. I’m so proud of her. But also feel a little guilty and worried for her as well, there are so many things that could go wrong now! I checked her vent and didn’t see any blood or anything, seemed normal, so that’s great! There did seem to be a small blood streak on the egg, but I’ve heard that is normal for first eggs! Plus, this egg is huge! It’s almost the size of an egg we bought.
In this photo, Flynney’s egg is the one that is dirty, the clean one is a bought egg

Wow! Her egg is so lovely! It is quite big too! I'm sure that you will have nothing to worry about with that blood streak, because I remember sometimes seeing them on my chickens' eggs. Isn't it so eggciting when you see that first egg?
