7-8 week old chicks ??

Hey everyone! New to raising chicks and we were wondering if anyone knew what breed they were and if you could tell if we have a hen or rooster on our hands? We thought we were buying all hens but I understand there's always a chance you can get a rooster.

The first photo is of a Red Sex Link Hen. They go by many names (depending on what cross and who bred them) such as Red Star, Cinnamon Queen, Isa Brown, and so forth. Great layers of large brown eggs.

The other is a cockerel. Looks like a Production Red.

I agree. the white one looks like a cornish cross male to me.

And we thought this was a leg horn until her face got red and she is HUGE (or he)

Thank you! We got a good mixture of chickens. We bought them at a local farming store. We are having fun but just anxious to know exactly what breed and if they're roosters. The black and white is my kids favorite!

I cant see very well im in the car on my phone and its really sunny here. This might be a barred rock, the coloring Looks like it might be female but the wattles looks like a boy. Its possible this is a different breed though. At 9 weeks i would say boy.

Thank you for the information! I think the black and white is a barred rock. That's what we thought we were buying at least
