7 month old Australorp not laying. Have 6 hens and 2 are laying but not the other 4. Never had hens wait so long to lay.

Australorps can take awhile to lay eggs. I think mine were around 6 months. The lack of daylight might be prolonging the pullets to lay their first eggs.

Australorps always laid like any other general breed for me, at 20-24 weeks for May birds. How do you know only 2 are laying?
