7 month old duck

Hey guys so I have a 7 month old female duck and recently she’s been scared of the outdoors and she’s just been side mostly and when she is inside she’s hiding around in the corners. She is laying eggs could it be that’s she’s just sensitive now? It happened out of no where and she’s usually super excited and happy about being outside in the water or walking around. Or am I overreacting

No I have another one of the same age

Could be something new to the outdoor environment? They pick up on anything different.

Maybe a predator swooped down and scared her? My Muscovy was attacked by a hawk and lived through it but she was terrified to go up onto their upper fenced property where the attack happened. It took her at least a month to go back up with her flock of Runners and Buffs.
