7 month old hens dying from unknown cause?

White and yellow poop? Do you have a picture of this, by chance?

Also, did I miss where it was determined *not* to be worms? What did you use to worm your flock? "Ivermax, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Oregano Oil?"

MrsB
I don't have pictures, actually.

I've experienced roundworms multiple times, and this is extremely like it, except for the fact that the treatments aren't doing anything.

I have read that Ivermectin is not very effective against Ascaris-type worms (ie: roundworms) in poultry. I will look for some information on that for you.

I would considering grabbing some Valbazen liquid goat wormer from Tractor Supply as soon as possible and dosing with that.

.5cc for standard chickens, .25cc for bantam/pullets/cockerels.
Treat once, wait 10 days, and treat again.
Discard eggs for 24 days from FIRST dose (14 day withdrawal).

That should get them. :)

I hope they perk up after the worming.

Okay thank you. The only problem is, is the Tractor Supply in my location doesn't stock Valbazen.

I had this happen with very similar symptoms...coccidiosis was what I came up with (I know you said yours were vaccinated against it though). I gave mine corrid (can get at tractor supply or feed stores) and was able to save a few of mine! Good luck!

That does make it tricky....

This is the cheapest place I can find it online. I would order some... if nothing else, for your critter cabinet for the future - may you never need it!

In the meantime, can you take a fecal sample to the vet? They can easily rule out internal parasites and determine if it's perhaps Cocci or maybe a bacterial infection.

Alright, thank you.

My nearest veterinarian is 45 minutes or so away, but I'll see what I can do.
