7 of my 10 chickens died in an attack while free-ranging today

I guanentee you whatever it was, WILL be back.
Secure the 3 you have left.
Get some trail cameras, to find out what it is then you can plan how to get rid of it.
If it ends up being your neighbors dog, you could be compensated.
I have been in your shoes, it is sad, but you have to get MAD!

I just looked at my game cam this morning and it didn't seem to catch anything - I'm keeping the remaining 3 locked in the run. Poor things are pretty shell shocked ... they aren't making a peep and are staying on the roost.

I once lost 5 of my 12, two month old replacements. It was a pair of raccoons, they got into my coop three nights in a row. Each time we secured it they would get in some were else. Injured two of my older hens as well.
I am so sorry for your loss, and understand how hard it is.

I have a few game cameras up in different places on my property. On some cameras I get nothing but usually on one of the cameras most nights, I get a predator. The field of vision on most cameras is 90º, so the field of vision isn't that large. Some cameras do have around 120º field of vision so predators can pass by without getting their picture taken. Also some cameras are low glow and some are no glow. Not sure about your camera.

A fox early this morning. It's blurry because I take videos and this is a frame of the video.
