7 of my girls are laying now...

and on Friday I used 20 eggs to make 4 large quiches... ate 2, froze 2. As of right now I have 18 eggs in my frig... and I haven't collected today's eggs yet.

Time to start gifting eggs to family and friends, I think.

If we had that much dily I would be having breakfast for dinner, and popovers more often , and egg sandwich every day for lunch and angel food cake!

I currently have 2 laying and another 26 of various ages and sexes.In another month I expect another 3-5 a day.

I do not have enough laying they are moulting, almost done I think, and I had to......buy eggs...... I have a bunch of young ones I am waiting to start laying. The goal is like 20 eggs a day give or take.

Forgot to say ... LUCKY YOU!!! I can not wait for quiche and have a popover recipie hanging on the fridge. I never made those before and one of them is a cinn&sugar one. I am hoping to freeze quiche for the woman I work for who is starting radiation Monday. She is in her 80's

I brought in 7 eggs this evening, which means there are at least 10 of my 14 girls laying now! Our EE laid her first egg and it was a cute, little, green one.

I gave a dozen to one of our neighbors this afternoon and have almost 2 dozen more in the frig. Good thing I have lots of neighbors nearby!
