Hello all! I have 16 7 week old pullets but I have 2 barred rocks that I am thinking are roosters... Do any of you have a idea if these are pullets or Roos? Thanks for your help!

Barred Rock males usually have even stripes, but females have a lot more black. The picture looks like a cockerel, and a pullet on the right that is darker. I'm not an expert, that's just what I've learned.

Of course, any with a larger comb and wattles should be suspect at that age as well, although some BR pullets develope early. When they have both a big comb and even stripes I'd safely assume 100% cockerel.

That one is also a cockerel. Any chick with a red comb before 10 weeks old is guaranteed to be a cockerel, regardless of breed. Pullets just don't get that red, that early.

Welcome to Backyard chickens, I've always heard the males have grayish barring, while the female have black, clearer barring.
