We have a seven week old chick that was fine yesterday, and today her legs are not functioning well. It looks almost like she is dusting herself, lays on side, legs move, but they keep sliding around. She was fine yesterday. We have had her for one month, she is by herself ( I qt for about 4+ weeks and she is too young to go out on her own yet anyway). Any ideas as to what this might be? She is eating and drinking. I got her up on her feet, filled her dish with fresh food, which she ate, but when she was done she sat down and the whole process began again.

I know usually it doesnt matter but what type of chicken is it, cornish, cornish cross? if its one of those its probably Genetic....

It is a bantom barred rock frizzle. Its up on its feet today, but something still seems a little funny about it. I purchased a bottle of nutri-drench yesterday. I gave some directly into the mouth and also put a little in the drinking water. Everything I read seems to point to something lacking in the nutrition. I'm feeding non-medicated chick food. I'm also worried it may be something in the food. I bought the food about a week ago. They said it was the last one they had left. Maybe its old. Doesnt seem to smell bad or seem moldy, but cant find any other possible causes.
