7 week old chicks and 20 week old pullets together what do I feed them?

The pullets aren't laying yet but will be any day now (I'm told). They are kept in the same pen and they are currently both on grower. I have some lay ration as well but have not started them on that. Should I stay with the grower or switch to the lay ration or mix the feeds? I've read on some other threads that there is too much calcium for the chicks in the lay ration. Will the eggs be malformed or too soft without that extra calcium? How should I handle this? Unfortunatly I can't seperate the birds.

Stick to the grower and supply free choice oyster shell. Purina also makes a feed called Flock Raiser that I use on mixed age groups.

I would feed a chick starter or grower. It shouldn't hurt the older ones at all but the younger ones still need it for the extra nutrition.

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick to the grower and see if I can find some oyster shell to supplement.
