7 Week Old Easter Eggers - What Gender??

By 10 weeks, it is better to look at something besides comb development to confirm gender. These pictures are blurry and hackle and saddle areas cannot be well visualized. At this point, examining those areas for pointy feathers and sickle feathers growing out in the tail would be more definitive. Since they were previously examined at 7wks and comb development caused them to appear to be pullets, I would be more trusting of the eval at 7wks.

This one, the brown one, has me wondering. Her shoulders have these streaks of brown/tan/red - is this a sign of a cockerel? She was uncooperative to a close up comb pic, but it doesn’t stand out to me as cockerel? She’s almost 9 weeks now - if indeed a “she”. Thanks in advance for the help!

there is red/orange throughout her coloring not just around shoulders, so she could still be a pullet. Wish photos had more resolution - not clear enough. Has her comb just gotten red?

Well, I think they are still pullets... If they don't crow in the next couple weeks, I think you might be safe. What I have seen, is that if there is no rooster the most dominant hen may develop a little more redness to the comb, also heat will cause redness, as blood flow to the comb helps to cool them.

Thank you. I have a rooster, aka “dad”, pictured in this thread. I’m in the Pacific Northwest, it’s not too hot here.

Well, lucky you to be in the Northwest right now. You have these birds currently in a run with "Dad"? Or are they all free-ranging together?
