We have three 7 week old Easter Eggers, one is a Roo. We just introduced a 6 week old Rhode Island Red and the rooster has been very aggressive.. circling her, pecking her hard. We separated her in a brooder by herself for tonight but is this a normal behavior to assert himself in the pecking order? The hens haven't had an issue with the new chick at all, only the Roo. Any advice?

I would separate the roo from the rest of the hens. Not sure how your brooder is set up, but if he is separated, and later in a couple days reintroduced, he will be the outsider, and may not be as aggressive.

Thank you! I will do that today, I put the brooder right next to where I have the other chicks so they can still see each other. I will put him in there for a few days and see how it goes 😏
