Other than moving them once it's completely dark (so they don't want to jump off), you can put your hand on their backs and press down to encourage them to "stick". Not really forcing them but you want to get them to squat down and settled on the roost.
Thank you! My daughter and I moved them and it went well! Apparently one of them had separated herself in the past couple days but was just sitting on the coop entrance by their pile. So at least one of them was getting the idea somewhat naturally. We’ll keep it up until they get it. Now we can finally use poop boards and close up the door more easily.
