7 weeks old too soon for scratch or millett???

Just wondering at what age theycan have some birdseed or scratch?

They can have it at 7 weeks. Just make sure you have grit available to them or you let them out in the grass/dirt so they can find their own.

If you buy some of the strands of whole millet sold for pet birds, just pull the seed pods off and toss them to the chicks. They'll love em. Be sure to the discard the stems. My little piglets, aka chicks, would gobble up the seed pods and then try to devour the stems. I pulled more than one stem out of a chick's throat before I got wise.
