Here are some new pics of my first bunch of Ameraucana. They are 7 weeks today. I am pretty sure the black one is a cockerel just by his personality. His name is Mr Hyde. He's quite mean to the others and anyone who tries to get into the box to add food and water etc. The other two I think may be pullets but not sure. I was told that the second pic was a lavender. It's starting to get darker on the head though. Could it just be a lighter blue and not a true lavender? How do I know the difference? The guy I got them from had a blue and a black roo over one splash hen and all the other hens were the light color like the second pic. I ended up with one black, one blue, and 5 of the lighter color.
