Help me to pair birds for breeding!

Oh wow, it’s really going to be difficult to know. As they get older maybe some of the pros can ID whether or not they are purebred. I mostly just know silkies and a few other breeds so I couldn’t say for sure if any of yours are purebred.

I doubt that they are if all those chickens are free ranging together, lol.

With that many breeds I would guess that they are more of a small scale hatchery or something. Probably separated into pens by breed, but also probably have some mixed pens for certain egg colors etc.

That's sort of the plan I'm going for once I get setup better. I'd breed for temperament first then play around and see what egg colors I can get.

She's beautiful, I'd love to have a hen like her :)
Thank you!! Akers Farm in Florida was kind enough to send me eggs from her laced pen that were green/blue because she has 1-2 colored laying silkies in that pen. I am so grateful that I ended up with one green laying hen. Her and her sister are raising some babies right now (not her own) but when they are back to laying eggs, I can’t wait to see what their babies look like.
