Hi, everyone

I'm a newbie here, trying to hatch a set of Pekin eggs.

I've been following the required temp/humidity with 99.5*F and 55% humidity constantly since I started the incubation three days ago. Only issue is, last night, I found out you're supposed to position the eggs with the small end down. I have an automatic turning tray.

Now, for the past 15 hours or so, the eggs have been set right, and the yolks are slowly sort of switching sides with the air sacs, it looks like... The blood vessel formation seems right and matches pics and examples I see online.

My question is pretty much: will my eggs be okay?? I would hate for all of the ducklings to pip the wrong end of the egg...

I appreciate your responses,
Thank you.

I am not a hatcher, but I have read a number of threads where things have gone wrong and the hatch was okay. Not a guarantee, but I don't think - from my limited knowledge - they are necessarily doomed.

There's a thread, "Call Ducks Finally Hatched" where you can find some people who are hatchers - you might check in there.

Since it was only for the first 3 days and they were on a turner, it's very unlikey that it will matter. They haven't yet begun to get even close to hatching position. I'm really surprised you can even see any definite development at day 4 if you're a newbie, so it sounds like you're on your way to becoming an expert!
