some tree branches had to come down before they came down on their own, right next to the coop - the chicks (4) were freaking out a bit but calmed down when the branches were done - I noticed a cut/sm gash on her comb - you can tell it bled a little and she's acting fine with the others - should I clean it and if so, with what? Newbie chicken mom here!

If its not bleeding that bad, I wouldn't worry too much. I'd just keep an eye on it to see if the others start pecking it. my rule of thumb on wounds is always put Vetricyn on it. If its just a small scratch, I wouldn't worry though

It's easy for branches and twigs to fly everywhere when a tree is felled. Depending on the size of the branch, this could be the case. They could also have injured themselves by 'freaking out a bit.'
If the chicks accept your hand, I would go ahead and inspect. If not, you might wait at least one hour after the incident before stressing them again. Blood clots do impair inspection, though.

Thank you - the limbs didn't get her it had to be when they were freaking out - I've since hand fed her some fruit n she seems fine - can I wipe it off with something, warm water cloth or something?
