8.5 week Blue and Black Copper Marans Genders?

I have five 8.5 week old chicks. Do you guys have gender guesses?

Also to note, blossoms comb tips appear a little white. Not sure how warm it is where you are, but that can mean they are overly hot, or experiencing kind of a heat stroke (or frostbite, which id imagine right now it is the former)

Blocks of ice, more shade, misters or things like this can help. We will quarter a watermelon, freeze it and throw it out in the afternoon. 👍

Yes, it can linger for a bit - maybe a week or so as she recovers.

I had an issue with it a few years ago. We don't get super hot here and they are usually pasture ranging, but I found a bunch of my hens having a pale comb like that from heat.

What I ended up discovering is the coop was getting really hot, then they would go in for the night into an oven. I cut a few more windows into it and that has kept it reasonable since.

But yes, it can take just a bit for the color to come back - as long as they are staying generally cool.
