Makes me feel like I am back at SANCCOB rescuing penguins again.

I grew up in the neighbourhood where SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) established their first rehabilitation centre, so I started volunteering at the centre when I was still a kid, riding my bicycle there.

Later, as well as volunteer work, I also, in my professional career, composed their newsletter and worked with a lot of photographs of penguins, so this picture reminds me of that time too.

Lucky. I would love to get a chance to work with wild penguins. 🐧

Confused.
In my mind, that penguin made a beautiful scarf out of the other penguin.

Pompous Penguin.

under dressed

It reminds me of the ladies back in 1920 or so with their fur collars and slim winter coats.

These Silkie crosses just keep getting more ridiculous

Zsa Zsa Gabor (RIP). Slapped a policeman and was reincarnated as THAT penguin. The resemblance is undeniable. 🤩

Mmmmm.....no.

God has a sense of humor!

I laughed the minute I saw it.
While l am well aware of Penguin moulting, have never seen one at the "Gent in a suit crossed with lady in a fur collar" stage before.
