8 and a half week old buff Orpington

Possibly pointy feathers, but not male-specific feathers.
It's true the feathering is soft and pullet-like at the moment, but in a few weeks he'll start getting some shiny male feathering in.

Buff Orpington do like to confuse us, but there's no doubt this one is male.
I agree with OneHappyRooster on this one. Sometimes you never really do know until a couple weeks later when true feathers show

My 19week old Lav Orp pullet still has very rounded feathers with small and pink comb/wattles. Apologies for any confusion! If their comb starts growing bigger and redder within the next few weeks and they start developing pointy shiny hackle/saddle feathers they are most definitely rooster

He looks just like our 8 week old buff orpington - as compared to his "sisters" he has a very distinguished comb. We have raised all 6 from eggs and we have two that seem much different - bigger combs, more aggressive, and redder underneath - don't know what that part is called! Our first chickens!

I believe the red underneath things are called wattles but I may be wrong. I remember when I got my first chickens it was an exciting time. Are all of yours Orpington’s?
