Blue Wheaton Hatching Eggs from Large Fowl Wheaton/Blue Wheatons of Wayne Meridith's Large Fowl Ameraucanas Line.
Beautiful, large ( adverage weights: 5 lb Hens,8 lb Roosters), tame birds with good conformation and colors. See my page for more photos.
I have tried to take pic of the beautiful eggs but as you hear so many times it is difficult if not impossible without photoshop or a proffessional photographer to get the colors true.
I am waiting, and waiting, and waiting...for a color chart ordered a long time ago from the Ameracauna Breeders but it has still to arrive. Until the official chart comes in, I can tell you by desription they are very similar to eachother but being a person of detail (it's my day-job) I can see variations in them. The picture of the egg in my hand is a good rep of the color, at least on my monitor. My family and friends cannot see the colors range I do. I see what would best be described as bluer-aqua.
I have 1 hen, a splash B/W, and she lays a robins egg blue egg. We just fry hers up! It's pretty, but not what the breed is working towards. We were honored to have one of the founders of this breed over to our home, he described, in great detail, how hard it was to develop the bird and hash out, amongst themselves, the SOP. This breed rides on their shoulders and I would only sell eggs that fit the SOP in respect to the founders who gave us this wonderful bird, and respect for the breed.
The eggs will ship out Tuesday morning. If you want Express delivery, you may have that at an additional cost as determined by the USPS.
