So ill be checking in my cell. I'd love to send them all out to play but its cold and raining. Going outside to get rain water n get my propane campstove fired up.

What do ya'll think... Will my girls survive without power, running water and soap opera's? Will they drive me to drink? Will my wife go crazy? Tune in, its all happening now...

**chanting**

Poor Boyd.

I second the board games.

We lost power briefly yesterday, but not today. However, I do have 130 plus dog ( lurcher great dane/greyhound ) lap dog. He is terrified of thunder. At least I know when there is a storm coming.

BOYD! What are you thinking? Send THE GIRLS for the rainwater, with a bottle of shampoo to use on the way out. Then they can dry next to the propane stove while they prepare food for the rest.

Basic survival skills!

lol they were helping me!!!!!!!

But here's the crazy thing... I called and there was no definate timeframe on getting power back up and that usually means storm damage and since I live pretty rural it means I go without for 24-48 hours. It just came back on

Sorry to rant, but it was getting tense in that living room.... 7 womenfolk vs 3 guys...... all bickering about how bad the others smell, who didn't get their teeth brushed before the power cut off the well.

So I am treating this as a temporary reprieve and made sure to have 6 gals of fresh water in jugs in case it goes right back out. Worse comes to worse we can boil pond water since the rain stopped

I know how you feel Boyd. When our power goes out we don't have any water either. Ours usually seems to go out in the middle of the night when it is 30 below. Hubby worries about pipes freezing and I am worried about heat lamps, electric water bowls and pet heating pads!

I hear ya there. Those moments are about the only time the wife lets me put both dogs under the covers with us :lol
