8 month old chickens- cockerels/pullets or roosters/hens?

Im registering my birds for the upcoming show. Now, I know that outside of showing that any chicken under a year old is a pullet/cockerels, and any above is a rooster/hen. But in showing, I think that around anything under 7-8 months is a pullet/cockerel, and anything above that age is a rooster/hen, even if they are still under a year. I cant find anything on it and today is the deadline for registration. Thanks for any help!

Any bird OVER a year is a hen and roo. Anything UNDER a year is pullet or cockerel. I have never heard of a show saying that a bird is a hen or roo that’s over 8 months.
