8 month old hen squatting and not roosting with other hens...

....Instead she roosts in the nesting boxes. The other girls have been laying since July. We have 14 hens in our flock. I realize that we should rarely get 14 eggs but we've gotten 13 on many occasions and we're wondering if something may be wrong with her.

Is she the same age/breed as the other ones? Is she the lowest ranking bird, do the others pick on her or keep her off the roosts maybe? Is she acting OK otherwise? Is she in the nesting boxes only at night (not broody)? If she should be laying, could you separate her out for a couple of days and see if she lays?

Yes she is the same age and should be laying. Great idea to separate her! Thanks for your input.
