Our little Serama hen has been poorly for a couple of days...she's a bit special and my kids and I are very fond of her so I actually decided to take her to the vet which happens to be round the corner from my house(never been before),
She's about 8 months and has been laying for a few weeks...we actually just hatched one of her eggs in the incubator last week (so cute

). The vet took an x ray and thought she had a bad infection and asked me if I wanted to leave her with them overnight or take her home and administer the antibiotics etc there. I wasn't sure what to do but my daughter was with me and looking at me with big eyes, as if to say of course you're going to leave her here...I didn't know what to do! In the end I left her but it's going to cost at least £100. I suppose I'm looking for some reassurance that I did the right thing...I really hope I did

Good to hear, thank you!

They took very good care of her last night but I have her home again and she's not looking at all well...sleeping and barely opening her eyes or moving. Poor little thing. I have antibiotics and painkillers to administer so fingers crossed she'll make some imrovement.
