In the Brooder
Today is day 14 and I have 8 out of 16 left incubating. I had 8 from my brothers Aseel chickens and 8 from a friends hybrids. 7 of my brothers eggs ended up rotten starting from day 7 every day I’d find at least one rotten egg oozing some brown liquid and the smell was horrendous. Today one of the hybrid eggs also stunk and was oozing so threw that away. I have cleaned the incubator but I’m not sure what’s causing them to go like this. The eggs that became rotten later I had smelt them on earlier days and they were fine! I don’t know if it’s the eggs or if I’ve done something! My brothers eggs were a bit Mucky when I got them and I did wipe them down with a wet cloth but I didn’t expect that to get rid of the protective layer. Not sure what to do now or if any will even hatch. I candled the rotten eggs previously and ther were fine with red veins etc so I don’t know how everything went downhill!
