Hi all-Just loaded up my bator with 19 split eggs I got in the last 5 days-so I can offer these up to you guys again:-)

I start with 8 to guarantee- ( updated 4/30/10 up to 10 eggs!! as of 10 am )but I have been sending 12-15 eggs with every shipment because the girls have been good to me:-). I will collect Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun/Monday am before leaving for work---there's "possibility of getting 14+ from this collection and I will update everyday. Like all eggs I cannot guarantee hatching or fertility once they are in the mail-My fertility in my batches incubated at home have been 95% ( I pulled 1 clear out of 13 last batch) hatch rates even better. Dad is 100% pure lav silkie roo and Moms are 4 black bearded silkie hens.

Here are some photos of some of the chicks I hatched last weekend and the previous hatch-

UGH...I would love to bid on these but....my 2 incubators r full and my hubby would kill me if I bought a third!

What is the possible ratio of Lavenders to blacks expected from these eggs (just guess, I know you don't have a crystal ball).

Would I mate these back to themselves to get a higher percentage of lavenders? What are the odds in that second generation?

OK all chicks hatched from this batch will all carry the Lav gene-so If you mate these guys back to eachother-25% will be pure Lavs:-) 50% will all carry the Lav Genes again-and then 25% will be black( non split)

SO If you had a pure Lav roo or hen and mated back to a split-you'd get 75% chance of Lavs hatching:-)
