I had a chick hatch out at 19 days, I put them all on lockdown and had a great hatch, that was with my maticoopx 30.

I live in southern Louisiana, but I keep the incubator in-doors. I believe ventilation is working properly, I hear the fans, but how can I double-check? The new batch of duck eggs did pip today (a few hours before D24) so it is early again. So I'm guessing the temperature is really too high...Have you checked the ventilation? Is the fan working properly?
Yeah, all of my chicks pips on Day 17 and usually out at Day 18, so I'm a bit worried everything is ahead of schedule, but I brushed it off since I read silkie tends to hatch earlier than Day 21.I had a chick hatch out at 19 days, I put them all on lockdown and had a great hatch, that was with my maticoopx 30.

Hey, wanted to say that I did decide to buy a Govee in the end, but I'm not sure how accurate it actually is. It reads 78 degrees in my house, but the AC is set at 73. I went outside and the weather app shows 82 degrees, but it's reading 93 degrees. Do you have any advice on this?Assuming they both get changed the same, here's your manual for the 30: https://manuals.plus/asin/B09Y84KPNC
You'll have to figure out if your incubator is correct, then just try to hatch these as usual without trying anything different. At least you'll know that you can hatch them this way, ie. 99.5F throughout, 45-50% humidity until lockdown, then 65-70%. When they hatch, the humidity goes up. It's fine normally, but if it gets over 85%, I'd crack the lid for a few seconds about once per minute a few times. That should bring it back down some.
The hygrometer/thermometer many of us purchase is off of Amazon, and the Govee brand. If you have to sneak getting it at Walmart, just try looking those up online first to make sure it's a highly rated one. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive.
I use a basic reptile temp gauge and a digital temp gauge. Govee is not necessary. The one I bought didn't match anything else after a couple monthsHey, wanted to say that I did decide to buy a Govee in the end, but I'm not sure how accurate it actually is. Did you get one with the phone app? If so, you can calibrate it. I've bought about five of them, and four were spot on, and one was off by 2 degrees. That's a ton for yours to be off, wow! Are you waiting enough time as I know one of mine takes about 15-20 minutes to finally settle on the temp.Hey, wanted to say that I did decide to buy a Govee in the end, but I'm not sure how accurate it actually is.
