8 week old Barred Rock

I've looked and looked at pictures. I've read about "double barring" and "lighter are males, darker are females". I don't have another BR to compare her to, so now I'm second guessing myself.. I thought I knew Perl here was a female, but as I look at her in pictures, she looks "light" to me for a pullet. What are your thoughts? I hope these pictures are ok, she's always on the move.

They look like my girls. I've never had a rooster but plenty of BR hens. I'd think you'd have a flashier comb by now?

Thank you for the reply! I would think so too with the comb, but I literally second guess myself on everything. We got a surprise different breed than we were told "she" would be cockerel, and now I'm just SURE everything is a male (even my Black Star and Blue Sexlink).

I'm gonna be that person and say cockerel.

I would expect the comb to be much bigger and red at this age, but the coloring is really light.

Confidently team pullet! Barred Rocks tend to get their combs in very early. I would be extremely surprised if a cockerel had this little comb by this age
