Are these black copper marans pullets or cockerels?

Honestly both look pretty similar. They are 8 weeks. I had two blue copper marans that were clearly boys, had big streaks of copper and huge combs very early. These two looked like girls next to them. But now I’m not so sure. Their combs are larger than my Swedish flower hens, mosaics and legbars that are the same age. Their backs aren’t completely feathered out yet either, which all the others have fully feathered backs except one Swedish flower hen.

Ok, thank you. That’s so helpful! Also makes me hopefully my 2 4.5 week old marans might be both pullets too lol!

I’m not new to marans, I have 2 already and had a rooster but it’s hard to remember exactly when it started being clear with him lol!

My 2 blue marans definitely looked like the boy you posted above at around 3/4 weeks though so maybe these two are girls. Which would be great!

I'm glad this helped. It's been a long time since I've raised chicks, so I've questioned myself on few these new chicken I have.
