So we've waited (not so patiently) while our babies grew up and now they're a little over 8 weeks old! Any indication if we have any roos yet?

Thanks!!

The tails are a bit "raggedy" - sometimes it seems that a young male has a more "raggedy" appearance in the saddle/tail area prior to getting actual saddle feathers. But, its not a definitive trait. The actual saddle feathers will show up around 12+ weeks old. In comparison to the others, which have rounded hen feathering. I've never had a male BO, this is our first year with BO (all female) and they are 18 weeks old. At 8 weeks, males of many breeds will show some definite differences in comb and wattle growth and color as compared to the females of the same age, and I'm not seeing such distinct differences in these. But, I've never had a male BO! So, keep your eyes on them, but by end of July, you should know for sure!
