8 week old chick with bobbing head

I have a silkie that has started bobbing her head like she is dizzy or has vertigo. She walks well, eats and drinks, poop is fine and eyes are clear. no resp problems. I am concerned because we got her from a different breeder about a week ago and she just started doing this on wednesday. I have read about mareks and and cant find anything about cerebral hernia or seahorse syndrome on the internet. Are either of the later two contagious? I dont want the rest of the babies to get sick.

You might want to research Newcastle disease. Hope this helps or someone else jumps in to help. It is sometimes called "Stargazing".

You might want to try giving it Vit B1.

Thanks! I looked up the diseases you mentioned but she does not seem to have other symptoms. I just got her out and went over her well from beak to butt. I swear I cant find a thing wrong with her but...this head movement is just not normal. The only other thing she does is "cry/talk" alot and rubs her head on the other chickens. My other silkies "talk" alot also so I dont that is unusual.
