8 week old layer!!!!!!!!!! Pics up !!!!!

Wow someone should contact Guiness World Records and find out what the earliest documented chicken age for laying eggs. You might have your hands on a record here.

I'd keep a video camera running on the chickens, and find out who is laying it (also to double check the egg is actually coming from the chicken). Can't wait to see a pic of this.

I'm so jealous the wait is really hard! They are going through so many changes though (right along with my 13 year old son!). They are chirping differently now, and they come running to my voice and eating things they wouldn't before, like strawberry tops. I wouldn't have even looked for an egg at 8 weeks..it would have rotted in there!

They look like normal 8 week olds. Those eggs must have come from just one of them. It is amazing! How is that even possble? Are you SURE they are 8 weeks olds?

ETA: What are you feeding? Are they still on starter?

I just wanna say that when she start laying regular sized eggs - I want some from her!!!!! LOL Maybe she will pass on the early laying gene to her offspring!
